Sometimes it becomes very difficult to withstand our body heat. Do not worry, it is a sign that your body is working against any disease or illness. Normally when you do any heavy work ,your body will produce more heat. Besides some medication can also trigger body heat.
Common symptoms of body heat include dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, muscle cramps and a rapid heartbeat.
Body heat is not a disease but it should not be taken lightly. If left untreated, it can develop into a heatstroke. People over 65, babies and young children, pregnant and nursing mothers, and people who are physically unwell are at a higher risk.
Try out some of these remedies
- Immediately as possible, drink a large glass of cold water. Afterwards, immerse your feet in cold water for 15-20 minutes. You will be feel comfortable.
- Drink a glass of coconut water. Its electrolyte composition is excellent for rehydrating the body. Plus, it is loaded with nutrients that help lift your energy.
- You can also drink a glass of buttermilk, it also help to reduce body heat. It can also be beneficial for women who suffer from hot flashes and men who have high metabolism.
- Watermelon can help in reducing body heat quickly . Eat slices of water melon or drink its juice to stay hydrated and cool.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder with enough water or cold milk to make a fine paste. Add a few drops of rose water and apply this paste on your forehead and chest. Allow it to dry on its own, then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Using lemon regularly can prevent heat-related illnesses as well as keep the body cool. The high vitamin C presents in lemon can help reduce body temperature.
- You can also drink a glass of homemade aloe vera juice prepared with up to 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Do not consume more than 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel a day. Try applying aloe vera gel on your body, let it dry, then take a cold water shower.
- You can eat a little amount of poppy seeds to get rid of excessive body heat. Be careful that you are not taking it in a large quantity. Poppy seeds are not safe for the children, so be careful
- Drink a glass of cold milk daily
- Apply paste of indian gooseberry (amla) powder and water over your head, keep it for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash it away with cold water.
- Simmer fresh peppermint leaves (a few ounces) in one pot of boiling water for at least 15 minutes. Strain out these leaves and then let the water to cool down. After that, you add this peppermint-infused water to a bathtub filled with cool bath water and immerse in it for at least 25 minutes.
Additional tips
Wear loose-fitting, lightweight clothing that can help you stay cool.
Avoid wearing excess clothes that can prevent sweat from evaporating easily.
Stay and sleep in a cool, well-ventilated area.
Do not drink caffeinated and alcoholic beverages as they affect your body’s ability to regulate your temperature.
Drink enough water throughout the day to replenish fluids lost through sweating.
Stay away from hot and spicy food.
